Lampropeltis pyromelana woodini
Mountain Kingsnakes have long been a favorite of reptile keepers intrigued with their beautiful colors and normaly docile dispostions. We began keeping and breeding mountain kingsnakes from several localities in the early 90's. We are currently working with "Applegate Specials" and "hypo/superhypo Durango Mountain Kings".
The "Applegate Special"
named after Bob Applegate who produced this amazing looking animal from pure locality "Lampropeltis pyromelana woodini" stock. To strengthen the line we are "outcrossing" with other L.p.woodini selected to reduce "inbreeding strain" and attempt to further improve the coloration and increase the band count of this allready spectacular snake.
